【合歡西北】合歡山西峰北峰一日行（West/North Peak Of Hehuan Mountain)

Hehuan mountain is located at Nantou, north peak is 3422 meter and west peak is 3145 meter. The view is awesome during sunny day , huge mountain prairie is endless here. Total distance is 13~14 kilometer roughly and the difference in elevation is 1500 meter. Basically, it takes 12 hours or more to finish hiking in Hehung mountain of west peak/north peak. You will see rocky terrain, grassland and trail with bamboo.

Transportation：Drive to Xiao feng kou(小風口）second parking lot, and keep straight for couple minutes. You will see the sign of Hehuan mountain trail at left hand side.

Carry-on items: Treking pole/2 liter of water/lunch and food/headlamp

【登山路線 Hiking Trail 】
可以根據離線地圖找尋以下攀登正確路線，從登山口上攀至北峰3422m，再上上下下至西峰3145m. 沿路行經小溪營地跟下華岡岔路。
You can check offline navigation map as below to check trail direction in detail. First you will meet the north peak 3422 meter from trailhead and then go uphill and downhill repeatly 7-8 times to the west peak 3145 meter. On the way you will meet the branchroad to huágāng(華岡）and xiǎoxī campsite (小溪營地）

停車場位置

在下圖合歡北峰登山口位置，約10公尺距離處有個空地處可以停車，但是幅員狹小大約只能停三輛車左右。

就在旁邊還有個小停車場大約能容納2~3台車，幸運的話不用停到小風口第二停車場那麼遠。

週末一大早就有一堆人在路上要搶登，合歡山菜市場是真的。
Many people are hiking here in weekend, no wonder hehuan mountain is called traditional Taiwanese market which full of people.

7:45 a.m. 看見反射板，代表快抵達北峰了！

可以看到等會要先下切再爬升的坡，之後會有7~8個像這樣上下上下的坡
You will see the downhill steeply which is closed to you and then go up. Then repeat this situation 7~8 times before you arrived the Hehuan mountain west peak

10:27 a.m. 抵達三岔路口，下華岡與前往合歡西峰的標示，這邊距離合歡西峰僅剩1K.
10:27 a.m. arrive branchroad, one way is to huágāng(華岡）and another is Hehuan mountain of west peak. The sign shows the distance to Hehuan mountain of west peak only left 1K.

10:42 a.m. 6.7K處看見西峰山頂！在下方畫面左方

10:55 a.m. 抵達合歡西峰，人太多沒辦法拍到正面的牌子
10:55 a.m. arrive Hehuan mountain west peak, i can’t even take a picture in front of the Sign due to too many people want to take picture with this.

西峰山頂兩側的風景，其實一路上景色都來的更壯麗，可以挑其他地方休息來看更好的山景
The view around the west peak. Actually, most of trail on the way are much more beautiful than here. You don’t need to take too much time here, it’s better to take rest and enjoy the view in other place.

從山頂返回，路上有一處有空地可以坐下躲太陽吃飯
Go back from the top of west peak, it’s lucky to have small place to sit down with shadow and have a lunch.

11:40 a.m. 吃個簡易的午餐，旁邊有一隊人在煎牛排太香啦

11:45 a.m. 啟程返回，從剛才下坡的地方現在全部變成上坡了

13:28 p.m. 返程上坡遇上大排長龍

崩壁一側可以看見不遠處的村落，懷疑是梨山和福壽山農場（下圖左側）
There is village at the side of collaped mountain wall. It might be líshān (梨山）and fú shòushān（福壽山） at the left side of below picture.

13:30 p.m. 等人走完後終於可以走的大陡坡

14:38 p.m. 行經告示牌，上頭寫一般山友需要12~18小時來回
